MITHI, Feb 13: Sindh Works and Services Minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim has said a 322-kilometre highway from Karachi to Thar will soon be built in collaboration with federal and Sindh governments.

Talking to journalists at the circuit house here on Thursday after taking an aerial view of the proposed coastal highway, he said this would increase trade and economic activities, promote tourism in the coastal belt and pave the way for exploration and exploitation of coal deposits in the area.

He said the development of road infrastructure in the area would also provide better communication facilities to the people. The minister said work on 100km Islamkot-Nagarparkar, 63km Wango-Mithi and 45km Mithi-Diplo roads and construction of three bridges on the River Indus between Nawabshah and Tando Mohammad Khan would also be undertaken soon.
