S. Africa score quick win

HAMILTON, Feb 11: South Africa made short work of their only warm-up match ahead of the One-day International series with New Zealand with a comfortable six-wicket victory over Northern Districts on Wednesday.

The South Africans, who meet New Zealand in the first of six One-day Internationals in Auckland on Friday, reached the victory target of 115 for the loss of four wickets in just 17.2 overs with Boeta Dippenaar top-scoring with 45 not out.

Northern Districts had struggled to 114 all out in 42.3 overs with Grant Robinson making 35 not out, while international spinner Daniel Vettori, who opened the innings, made 31.
