Match starts after two blank days

KARACHI, Feb 11: Rawalpindi were 142 for two in their first innings after their Quaid-i-Azam Trophy match against Peshawar finally got under way at the Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar on Wednesday.

After two blank days because of heavy rain, Rawalpindi, sent into bat by Peshawar captain Younis Khan, were served well by Bilal Asad (54) and Ashar Zaidi (48 not out) on the third day when only 38 overs were possible.

The four-day match is now certain to finish in a draw.
