PML-N MPs threaten to launch movement

LAHORE, Feb 9: PML-N MNAs and MPAs from Lahore threatened on Monday that they would launch a movement if the Punjab government did not release development funds for their constituencies.

At a meeting held under the chairmanship of Khwaja Saad Rafiq, the participants said the opposition legislators were being denied development funds for political reasons.

They asked the government to review its policy without delay. The meeting was held at the residence of Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman and participated in by Pervaiz Malik, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Akram Gujjar, Dr Asad Asharf, Rana Mashhood, Malik Ahad, Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor, Malik Afzal Khokhar, Ajasam Sharif, Mehr Ishtiaq, Bilal Yasin, Sheikh Amjad Aziz, Rana Tajammal Husain, Kamran Michael, Saba Sadiq, Begum Rehana Jameel and Abida Javed.
