SAF Games trials itinerary


ISLAMABAD, Feb 7: Pakistan will finalize its entire contingent of 15 men's and seven women's teams for the next month's SAF Games by the cut-off date of Feb 28, according to trials itinerary released on Saturday.

The dates for trials were announced by all the respective federations who would feature in the March 29-April 7 SAF (South Asian Federation) Games. Pakistan and India figure in all the 15 disciplines.

The organizers have set Feb 28 as the deadline for sending "entries (of players and officials) by names" for the participating countries.

The itinerary is as follows:

2- Table Tennis Feb 17-18 Hamidi Hall, Pakistan Sports Complex

3- Weightlifting Feb 20 Jinnah Stadium, Pakistan Sports Complex

4- Taekwondo Feb 20 Army Stadium, Rawalpindi

5- Kabaddi Feb 20 Army Stadium, Rawalpindi

6- Rowing Feb 14-15 Rawal Lake, Islamabad

7- Football Feb 15 Football Ground, Pakistan Sports Complex

8- Swimming Feb 14-15 Swimming Pool, Pakistan Sports Complex

9- Rifle Shooting Feb 7 Gun Club, Pakistan Sports Complex

10- Volleyball Feb 8-9 Liaquat Gymnasium, Pakistan Sports Complex

11- Squash Feb 9-15 Squash Courts, Pakistan Sports Complex

12- Wrestling Feb 26-27 National Sports Training Centre, Lahore

13- Badminton Team to be selected on the basis of national ranking

14- Boxing On the basis of national ranking

15- Karate Team already selected during national championship (Jan 2-4) and now touring Iran.-APP
