Jamali okays holding of exhibition in Bahrain: Single country show

ISLAMABAD, Feb 7: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali on Saturday approved the holding of single country exhibition in Bahrain from February 17 to 20 , 2004 with a view to promoting and boosting the country's exports in different fields.

The prime minister while talking to Minister of Industries and Production, Liaquat Ali Jatoi, who called on him at the Prime Minister's Secretariat, expressed about government's determination to take all possible measure for boosting country's exports and to provide the necessary facilities to exporters in this regard.

The prime minister also expressed the hope that the holding of exhibition would help introduce Pakistani products to the Middle Eastern markets in a big manner.

Earlier, Liaquat Jatoi informed the prime minister that the 4-day exhibition would be organized at the Convention Centre, Bahrain's International Exhibition Centre in collaboration with the Export Promotion Bureau and Embassy of Pakistan.

It would display Pakistani goods and products in the following areas: Sports goods, Home Appliances and Engineering, Electrical Fans, Ceramics and Cement and Jewellery, Auto Parts and Granite and Marble, Firms and Industries dealing with these products would be the major stakeholders in the forthcoming exhibition.

Apart from introducing Pakistani products to the gulf markets, the exhibition is also expected to help promote the country's tourism potential besides providing a useful opportunity for cultural introduction.
