SADIQABAD, Feb 6: A sum of Rs35 millions have been approved for electrification of rural areas around Chachran Sharif in the provincial constituency PP-288.
This was stated by Punjab Fisheries Minister Jam Muhammad Hashim Ghaleja while talking to various delegations in the constituency. He said the government was taking special interest for rapid development of the rural areas.
POLICE POST: Funds were sanctioned for the construction of building of Samuka police post near Chachran Sharif which was expected to be completed within two months.
Residents of the area commended the decision of police authorities and expressed the hope that crime would be controlled.
ELOPEMENT: A mother of five allegedly eloped with her paramour. Sharifan was married to Bashir Bhatti of Chak 141-A Liaquatpur tehsil about 17 years ago. She developed illicit relations with Munir Bhatti of the same village.
Bashir alleged that Sharifan eloped with Munir on Thursday taking Rs20,000 in cash and his son Sajjad, 13, along with her.
