SUKKUR: Man killed, daughter kidnapped

SUKKUR, Feb 4: A landlord of the Chachar tribe was killed and his three relatives were injured in a village in the Ghotki district when they offered resistance to armed bandits who were kidnapping the landlord's daughter on Tuesday.

The bandits later escaped, taking away the girl, Janul.

The landlord killed was identified as R. B. Chachar. Abdullah Chachar, Ali Murad Chachar and Bukhshan Chachar were injured.

The Kutcha Bhindi police registered a case.

GIRL KILLED: A minor girl was shot dead by robbers on the Military Road here on Tuesday night. A man, Nooruddin Abro, was on the way to his home along with his wife, Asia, and daughter, Tayyaba Noor, when the robbers intercepted and at gunpoint tried to deprive him of his motorcycle. When he offered resistance, the bandits opened fire, killing the girl.

The robbers escaped, taking away the motorcycle.

CAR SNATCHED: Five armed men robbed police constable Sohnu Khan of his car near the Budhal village in the Shikarpur district on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, two robbers snatched a motorcycle from Mohammad Azeem Mangi at gunpoint on the Nishtar Road here.
