MMA asks govt not to defame scientists

By A Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Feb 1: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal has requisitioned the National Assembly session on the issue of nuclear scientists' debriefing. The MMA has also demanded that the government should stop defaming the country's nuclear scientists and release them immediately.

A press release issued here said that MMA MNA Mian Mohammad Aslam, while speaking at a meeting of the Jamaat Islami workers held at Melody on Sunday, said that the MMA had requisitioned the National Assembly session on the issue of scientists' arrest.

He said: "The parliament ought to be taken into confidence, but the government had shown scant regard for it."
