SAHIWAL, Feb 1: A villager was murdered reportedly by dacoits in nearby Chak 84/5-L on Sunday morning. Reports said a gang of dacoits entered the house of Ramazan Jat. The dacoits shot Ramazan dead when he put up resistance and escaped.

Police said Ramazan had disinherited his sons from the property and the murder was because of the family feud. Yusafwala police registered the case.

They held up the family and locked them in a room. Later, the dacoits collected cash, gold ornaments and other valuables, worth around Rs150,000, and escaped. City police registered the case.
