Arrangements for visit of Indian HC sought

KARACHI, Jan 28: The Indian government has asked Pakistan to make arrangements for the visit of its high commissioner to the properties in Karachi whose ownership India claims.
Sources told Dawn on Wednesday that the high- commissioner, Mr Shiv Shankar Menon, would visit at least six Indian properties in Karachi. Mr Menon arrived here on Wednesday on a three-day visit to the city.
According to an official letter written by the Indian high commissioner to the ministry of foreign affairs on Jan 20, the diplomat would inspect the following properties: India House, 3- Fatima Jinnah Road; India Lodge, 63 Clifton; Hindustan Court, 42- 43, Kurrie Road; Panchsheel Court, plot 5, Fl 3, Frere Town; Shivaji Court, 27 McNeil Road, Frere Town and Hut 61, Hawkes Bay.
