Kashmiris observe black day

SIALKOT, Jan 26: Kashmiris here observed black day on Monday on the occasion of India's Republic Day on the appeal of All-Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) chairman Syed Ali Gilani.

Led by Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Movement Pakistan convener Dr Zahid Ghani Dar, they peacefully demonstrated in front of the UN offices in the cantonment area and presented a memorandum to the permanent UN observer.

They urged the UN to use its influence to force India to implement resolutions and immediately halt state terrorism, human rights violation and genocide of innocent Kashmiri people by the Indian occupation forces in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Kashmiris leaders vowed to continue struggle till the freedom of occupied the valley from the Indian yoke.
