KARACHI: Students told to follow ideology

KARACHI, Jan 24: City Nazim Naimatullah Khan has said that the young generation should know the Islamic ideology on the basis of which Pakistan came into being.

The Nazim was speaking as the chief guest at gold medals distribution ceremony at Chinot Islamia School and College. He said that the ideology must be followed and practised by every person of the country.

He emphasized that the new generation must realize the ideology, because if the foundation remained weak the edifice could never become strong.

Naimatullah Khan said that religion could not be enthrusted on people by force. The best way of preaching Islam was to improve one's own character and dealing. Citing the example of Indonesia, City Nazim said that Muslims did not conquer Indonesia by force. He said that Muslim merchants had introduced Islam with their inspiring character and straight dealing with the natives of Indonesia.

Later, the Nazim awarded medals to the distinguished students. -PPI
