LAHORE, Jan 20: Dubai-based Ten Sports retains the right to telecast Pakistan-India Test and One-day International series in March-April, said the private TV channel's chairman Abdurahman Bukhatir on Tuesday after holding talks with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar M. Khan.

Bukhatir said: "We discussed the agreement signed with the PCB on Jan 30, 2003, and found nothing to be changed."

Asked if he would pay the PCB any extra amount for the tour which was doubtful at the time of accord signing, he said: "The agreement covers five-year period and as this series is also included, therefore, we will not pay any extra amount."

However, he said the people of Pakistan would be able to watch these matches live. Efforts were also being made to allow PTV to carry the signal. Bukhatir, who also heads CBFS of Sharjah, said Sharjah Cup would not be held this year.

"We planned to hold Sharjah Cup in April, but the much-awaited series between Pakistan and India clashed with it, so we are unable to hold the annual event," he said.

Bukhatir said the second Morocco Cup was likely to be held in August, to which Pakistan, India and New Zealand had been invited. He expressed hope that India would resume taking part in Sharjah events after revival of its cricketing ties with Pakistan.
