LAHORE, Jan 19: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will offer an assignment to former captain Waqar Younis to help paceman Shabbir Ahmad rectify his bowling action.

A PCB spokesman, said that Waqar was in Dubai and the offer would be made to him on his return. Waqar was an experienced bowler and he could be the best choice to guide Shabbir, the spokesman added.

Shabbir's bowling action was questioned by twofield umpires Darryl Hair (Australia) and B.FBowden (New Zealand) during the fifth ODI in New Zealand. This is the second time that Shabbir's action has been declared suspect.
