17 Indians detained in Russia
VORONEZH, Jan 19: Russian border guards have detained 17 Indians who illegally crossed into the country from Ukraine, news agencies reported on Monday.
The men were detained near the town of Voronezh, 600 km south of Moscow in a joint operation between Russian and Ukrainian authorities.
The detained men did not have any identity papers on them, it said. Last year, some 530 illegal migrants were detained along the border between the two former Soviet republics.-AFP
