Three held in Shaista case

NAWABSHAH, Jan 18: Three people who have been issuing threats to Shaista Almani have been arrested and the Sindh police are providing complete protection to the girl.

This was statted by the adviser to the Sindh chief minister on home affairs, Aftab Ahmad Shaikh, while talking to newsmen at the Circuit House here on Sunday.

Mr Shaikh claimed that Ms Almani had complete confidence in the Sindh government and added that the persons harassing her would be arrested.-APP

Our correspondent adds: Mr Shaikh said the government would soon launch an operation clean-up against criminals. He said the government was considering to make legislation against Karo-kari.

About the murder of Pakistan People's Party-SB leader Ali Sonara, he said the Sindh government was ready to order a judicial investigation into the matter.
