Sindh govt told to give Shaista police job

ISLAMABAD, Jan 17: The Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control, Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, instructed the Sindh government on Saturday to provide full protection to Shaista Almani, the latest potential victim of karo-kari , and her family, and to provide suitable employment to her in Sindh police.

He asked the Sindh government to take immediate necessary steps to eliminate the inhuman practice of karo-kari and make amendments in relevant laws, if required.

The menace, he said, is not only forbidden in Islam but was against human rights and government's policy of women's emancipation.-APP
