Sindh govt criticized for failing to curb crime

THATTA, Jan 11: Leader of opposition in Sindh Assembly Nisar Khuhro here on Sunday deplored the poor law and order situation in Sindh, holding the provincial coalition responsible for it.

Talking to newsmen at the wedding ceremony of the People Party Praliamentarian leader Syed Masood Mustafa Shah in Qadir Dino Shah village, Mr Khuhro said kidnappings, robberies, murders, loot and plunder had become the order of the day in the interior Sindh.

He said the Mutahidda Qaumi Movement was merely revolving around its own particular agenda as it had no roots in the interior while feudal lords had made local administrations hostage to themselves to serve their vested interests.

Nisar Khuhro said the people were waiting for some vital changes definite to emerge in a short time. He said the PPP would launch a province-wide campaign soon to protest against the poor law and order situation.

He said the protest would continue till the restoration of law and order.He visited the houses of two cousins, Ghazanfar and Sarfaraz Memon, kidnapped from Bannu town on Dec 12, 2003.
