HYDERABAD: Five rocket shells seized

HYDERABAD, Jan 9: The anti-car lifting cell on Thursday recovered five Russian-made shells of rockets in the jurisdiction of Hatri police station.

The area police, however, said they were unaware about any such recovery as they were not informed by the ACLC officials.

ACLC in charge Zulfikar Ahmed Arain said the raid was conducted on a tip-off that some bandits were present in the area, near the Jamna drain. He said during the search a plastic bag, containing five Russian-made shells of rockets, was recovered. Each shell weighed 2.5kg, he added.

He said a case would be registered at the Hatri police station in this regard. It would be relevant to mention here that the in charge sessions judge Syed Qurban Ali Shah Lakiyari on Thursday had ordered the DPO investigation to conduct an inquiry and take actions against the ACLC officials concerned with regard to illegal detention of a man.
