KARACHI, Jan 9: A number of speakers at the Hamdard Shura, held on Thursday, hailed the achievements made at Saarc Summit, besides during meetings between President Pervez Musharraf and Indian Prime Minister A B Vajpayee on the sidelines of the summit.

The Shura was held under the auspices of Shura Hamdard (Karachi Chapter), on "Beginning of better relations between India and Pakistan." Former Sindh Ombudsman, Justice Haziqul Khairi, called for thinking that how to take advantage of Indian market, comprising one billion population, and their successful experiments in the field of education, especially technical education.

Burhanudin Hasan said the decision of free trade between the two countries was a good step. Syed Mustafa Ali Brelvi, Prof Afaque Siddiqui, Haq Nawaz Akhtar, former chairman of Pakiatan Steel also spoke.-APP
