Court admits Asif's application

By Our Staff Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Jan 6: Accountability court No. 4 on Tuesday admitted an application of Asif Zardari involved in an assets case, and set aside its earlier order of examining a prosecution witness.

During the last hearing in the case on December 27, the prosecution had moved an application for examining a witness that was not named in the calendar of witnesses.

The prosecution had moved this application in the absence of Senator Farooq Naik, the counsel for Mr Zardari. Later, Mr Zardari's counsel also filed a separate application on January 2, pleading that the court order passed in his absence be set aside.
