KARACHI, Jan 6: The Managing Director of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board, Asif Ghazali, has directed the engineers and consultants of K-III water supply project for utilizing all available resources to ensure timely completion of this project.

Talking to the concerned officials during his visit of different components of K-III project on Monday, Asif Ghazali said that timely completion of the K-III project was his top priority so that water needs of the city could be catered to some extent. Project Manager Misbahuddin Fareed and chief engineer Mashkoorul Hasan were also present on the occasion.

He also paid visit to KDA Pipe Factory, where manufacturing of pre-stress pipes was continued at an accelerated pace. He also inspected the work of sand blasting, wrapping and coating of MS- pipes.

Giving instructions to engineers and consultants, he asked them to demonstrate technical expertise in the construction works and maintain transparency in the system of quality inspection. Besides, all works should conform the term and conditions agreed in tenders, he added. He asked the project engineers to maintain direct contact with all utility services.-PPI
