By Our Correspondent

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 6: Kuwait has completed 178 major indictments against Saddam Hussain and his top aides for war crimes committed during Iraqi occupation of 1990-91.

In a press statement, Kuwait's minister of Justice, Ahmed Baqer, said the indictment were prepared by the specialist committee formed ten years ago under the chairmanship of the public prosecutor. He said the indictments may increase to 200.

The minister said Saddam's close aides including Mohammad Saeed al Sahaf, Mohammad al Duri and his daughters were included. These indictments would be presented to the Iraqi authorities once Saddam Hussain's trail begins, he added.
