PESHAWAR: New universities need planning: governor
PESHAWAR, Jan 3: Frontier province Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah has emphasised the need for adopting a pragmatic and far-sighted approach in the future development of the newly-established campuses of universities in the province.
He said the master planning must have the capacity to meet the requirements on long-term basis.
The governor, presiding over a briefing held here on Saturday at the Governor's House on the proposed master plan for the development of Kohat University of Science and Technology, the governor said these kind of projects must be executed under a phased programme keeping in view the available resources.
Present on the occasion were: additional secretary to governor Sikandar Qayyum, university Vice-chancellor Khalid Mehmood Niazi and other senior authorities of the university.
A well-known architect, Nayyar Ali Dadabhai, from Karachi briefed the governor about the proposed master plan of the institution.-APP
