SRINAGAR, Jan 1: A suspected militant was killed when a bomb he was carrying on a cycle exploded here on Thursday, police said. Seven civilians were also wounded in the powerful blast on a road near Rainawari, a residential area in Srinagar.
"The man who was carrying the bomb was blown to pieces," a police spokesman told Reuters.
The police suspect the crude bomb was being transported to be planted at another location in the city, Kashmir's IGP K. Rajendra, told Reuters.
