Passengers robbed

VEHARI, Dec 30: Four robbers looted a passenger wagon on the Vehari-Burewala Road, some 10km from here, on Monday night.

As per details reaching here, the outlaws riding a car intercepted the Burewala-bound wagon (8206-LRK) and deprived passengers of cash, gold ornaments, wrist watches, mobile phones, and other valuables and fled.

SEMINAR: The workers of Wapda Hydro Electric Central Labour Union (CBA) organised a ‘safety seminar’ here on Tuesday.

Central secretary-general Khurshid Ahmed Khan, Operation SE Mohd Ishaq Bhatti, and a number of Wapda workers attended the seminar. The speakers highlighted the responsibilities and safety measures for Wapda employees.
