TRIPOLI, Dec 28: The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Sunday inspected four previously unvisited Libyan nuclear sites in Tripoli, IAEA spokesman Mark Gwozdecky announced.

“I can confirm that inspections did commence on Sunday,” he told AFP by telephone. IAEA chief Mohamed ElBaradei “and his team went to four nuclear sites previously unvisited and all of them were in the Tripoli area”, the spokesman said.

“Right now, we are continuing our technical discussions with the Libyan authorities to develop a work plan for the days and weeks ahead.”—AFP
