KARACHI, Dec 28: The hunger strike by those employees of the Sui Southern Gas Company whose services were terminated by the between 1997 and 2000 entered the 28th day on Sunday.
A representative of the hunger strikers told Dawn that the SSGC was not implementing the decision of the Supreme Court in which the apex court had reinstated the dismissed employees.

An official spokesman for the SSGC told Dawn that a batch of 500 people who had been reinstated by the Supreme Court had already been restored by the gas company. He added that for further implementation of the court order, the SSGC was awaiting orders by the Supreme Court which was hearing a case filed by the federation of Pakistan about the employees dismissed by the SSGC.
