LAHORE: Varsity convocation postponed

By Our Reporter

LAHORE, Dec 27: The University of Engineering and Technology has postponed its 15th convocation due to be held on Dec 29 due to non-availability of a chief guest.

The UET had invited Prime Minister Jamali but he sent his message of regret. The PM had also given time twice in October but could not come to Lahore forcing the UET to postpone the convocation.

The university invited Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi but he did not confirm his availability. It contacted governor Khalid Maqbool who sent his regrets on Saturday afternoon.
