Taimur and Arsalan on target

LAHORE, Dec 26: Six more matches were decided in the Mobilink polo cup tournament at LPC Grounds on Friday.

A last-minute goal by Shah Shamyl Alam helped Green Earth beat Musa Industries 3-2. Shamyl scored all the three goals for the winners. Raja Samiullah and Hassan Raza Gillani struck for the losers. Green Earth drew its second match 1-1 against Chimera.

 Usman Hayee scored first for Chemira but Hissam Ali Hyder restored parity for Green Earth. Chimera recovered to defeat Musa Industries 2-1 in their second match.

Usman Haye and Saqib Khakwani scored back to back goals in the second chukker.

Earlier, Ahmad Nawaz Tiwana put Musa ahead in the first chukker. Diamond Paints notched up 3-2 win against Data Hybrid Corn. Arsalan Najeeb, Mir Shoaib Ahmad and Taimur Malik scored a goal each for the winners.

Playing with a handicap goal, Data scored the lone goal through Hassan Ali Farrukh. Data in their next match, however, beat Rangers 2 1/2-1.

Rangers had lost both matches. Rangers scored first through Ahmad Khan. Umar Sadik and Zain Khan Khakwani added a goal each for Data, who were playing with half handicap goal.

Diamond Paints thrashed Rangers 6- 3 1/2. Taimur Malik and Arsalan Najeeb scored three goals each for the winners. Ahmad Khan (2) and Kamran Zaidi (1) reduced the margin for the losers. Half goal was handicap.

Green Earth and Chimera have chances to play the final against Shalimar on Sunday and the decision in this connection will be taken on Saturday.
