Welding plant blast leaves two dead

DERA GHAZI KHAN, Dec 26: Two labourers were killed and as many injured in an explosion of a welding plant at a cement factory, which is about 30 kilometres from here, on Friday.

Reports reaching here revealed that eight labourers were busy cutting iron sheet with a gas welding plant when it exploded. As a result, Imran, a resident of Multan, and Zulfiqar of Taunsa Sharif died on the spot.

Muhammad Ishaq of Mian Channu and Jalal Khan suffered burns and were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital.

The district police officer or any official of the factory administration were not available for comments.
