HBL take lead

RAWALPINDI, Dec 24: Habib Bank gained a 61-run first innings advantage against Sui Gas as play in the Patron’s Trophy Pool ‘B’ match resumed on Wednesday after Tuesday’s wash out at the KRL Stadium.

Play on the third day could begin only after lunch because of fog and once the batsmen came on to the crease, Habib Bank put on 213 for six. Khaqan Arsal stood within smelling distance of a half century on 48 and not far behind was Abdul Rehman who was unbeaten 46.

After dismissing Sui Gas for a meagre 152 on Monday’s first day, Habib Bank had resumed their innings at the overnight score of 53 for two.
