Two bombs explode in Quetta

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, Dec 24: The provincial capital was rocked by two powerful bomb explosions on Wednesday evening.

“No damage or casualty has been reported in the blats,” a police official said.

An explosion occurred at Jogezai Street near a pharmaceuticals manufacturing factory at around 7.50pm.

The bomb had been planted in a drain with a timer. Windowpanes of nearby buildings were smashed.

Another bomb planted behind a house in Modal Town went off at around 8.05pm.

“Locally made bombs were used with timers in both the explosions,” a bomb disposal department official said.

A case has been registered against unknown people.

Two bomb explosions had occurred in a market here on Dec 20, injuring four people, including the provincial assistant advocate-general.
