Canal seepage inundates Kutchi Abadis

KHAIRPUR, Dec 24: Kutchi Abadis, and a degree college beside the Rohri Canal, near Ranipur, are coming under water which is seeping from the weakened embankments beside the canal, sources said here on Wednesday.

Among some of the katchi abadis which are already submerged are, Sobhodero Nako, Ali Abad and the area which includes Sachal Sarmast Degree College.

Water is also flowing towards katchi abadis located near the old bus stand area of Ranipur, and the impoverished inhabitants are facing great hardship.

Other reports reaching here said that the canal embankments between Saleh Sehto village and Allahdad Samtio village near Mehrabpur have also been weakened.
