KARACHI, Dec 22: Judgment in a corruption case against former navy chief Mansoorul Haq and another ex-navy official, was deferred for the fifth time on Monday.

Judge Parkash Lal Ambwani of the AC-4, who had fixed Dec 22 for pronouncement of the judgment, was on leave and the link judge, Hasan Feroze of the AC-2, deferred the verdict till Tuesday.

Judge Ambwani had first reserved judgment till Nov 15 and after hearing final arguments on Oct 28, the court fixed Dec 22 for the announcement of the judgement.

As the judge was on leave, the judgment was deferred on Nov 15 and the administrative judge of the accounta-

bility courts in Karachi, Qaiser Iqbal, deferred the verdict till Nov 22.

The judgment, however, could not be pronounced on Nov 22 and Judge Ambwani fixed Dec 3 for the pronouncement of the verdict, and later it was deferred till Dec 18.— Staff Reporter
