By Our Sports Correspondent

LAHORE, Dec 21: Four goals by Taimur Mawaz Khan helped Dimal clinch the Dimal Cup beating Free Lancers 8-6 1/2 at LPC Grounds on Sunday.

The losers had 1 1/2 goal handicap.

Dimal got off to a fine start when Taimur Mawaz (2) and Saqib Khakwani (1) gave them 3-1 1/2 lead in the first chukker.

Dimal surged ahead in the second chukker 5-1 1/2 when Saqib and Taimur added a goal each. Khurshid, who scored two goals for the losers, however reduced it to 5-2 1/2 before the end of the chukker.

In the third chukker, Free Lancers tried to make a match of it adding three goals, two through Mujahid Umar, who scored three goals in the match and one through Khurshid who struck his second. But Usman Hayee also struck for the winners to maintain the narrow 6-5 1/2.

In the fourth chukker, Usman scored his second and Taimur his fourth for Dimal. In the dying minutes Mujahid banged home his third goal for the losers but only to reduce the margin 8-6 1/2.
