By Our Staff Reporter

RAWALPINDI, Dec 21: A naval officer was found dead in his house in Al-Noor Colony, Sadiqabad, while a teenage girl, who was critically burnt on Saturday, died here on Sunday, police said.

Nisarul Haq’s family had gone to their native town. In the evening, some residents got suspicious when nobody responded from inside despite repeated knocks on the door. After the police and naval officials were called, they broke open the door and found Nisar lying dead on his bed.

Police said the cause of the death was being investigated. “Whether it is a natural death, suicide or murder is yet to be ascertained,” the SHO Sadiqabad police station said.

In another incident, a 17-year-old girl, who was critically burnt on Saturday at her house in the R.A. Bazaar area, died in Rawalpindi General Hospital on Sunday, hospital authorities said.

Robica was brought to the hospital with more than 85 per cent burns. According to the police, the girl was burnt after her clothes caught fire while cooking meal.

ROBBERIES: Three robberies were committed, while some burglars broke into a house and decamped with cash and gold jewellery, police said on Sunday.
