LAHORE, Dec 21: The All About Lifestyles Exhibition 2003 concluded at the Lahore Polo Club here on Sunday night after being visited by more than 180,000 people from all age groups for two days.

An all breed championship and a polo match were the main attractions for the crowds of visitors to the exhibition on Sunday. Dogs of different breeds took part in the show which continued for several hours.

People also continued enjoying the ride on the giant hot air balloons for the second day running. The jumping castle and remote control cars remained the hot favourites of the children for both the days.

Most of the visitors to the exhibition were of the view that a two-day duration was too brief for such an entertaining and informative event which had been organized after a long-term planning and a lot of hard work.

Organized by the Dawn Group of Newspapers, the exhibition was spread over most part of the 15 acre polo club. The network of canopies set up for housing the exhibits and the food court was one of the largest-ever to be set up in the provincial capital.

Consumer goods of all kinds like refrigerators airconditioners, mobile phones, washing machines, food processors used in kitchen, cameras, beverages, biscuits, fruit products, ethnic furniture, ceramics and stationery were on display and sale at over 120 stalls. Builders and developers had also set up their stalls at the exhibition. Prizes were being offered at some stalls through lucky draws and attractive discounts at others.

A potter and a painter were at work at two places while live music was being played for the entertainment of the visitors nearby. Different inter-active pavilions with computers and paints and brushes had been set up for the entertainment of the children and teenagers at the World Pavilion and Science dot com Pavilion. A picture and art gallery and a book and magazine section had also been set up along with the reading area. Issues of Dawn depicting significant events in the national history were also on display.

An elaborate food court had also been set up over a large area where the visitors could enjoy the continental, Chinese and indigenous foods and salads at reasonable prices.

The All About Lifestyles Exhibition 2003 here was the second among a series of three scheduled to be held this year. The first exhibition was held at Islamabad on Dec 6 and 7 and was visited by around 140,000 people. The third and last exhibition of the series will be held at Karachi on Dec 27 and 28.
