RAWALPINDI, Dec 18: Habib Bank’s Pakistan reject Hasan Raza cracked a fine 120 on Thursday but could not prevent Allied Bank taking a 30-run first innings lead in their Patron’s Trophy Pool ‘B’ match that ended in a draw at the KRL Stadium.
Habib Bank were restricted by some good bowling by Tahir Mughal and Taimur Khan, both of whom claimed five wickets apiece.
After resuming their innings at the overnight score of 117 for two, Habib Bank were bowled out for 267 thereby conceding lead. Allied Bank had hit up 297 runs in the first innings.
Hasan, not out 44 overnight, smashed 11 fours in his innings in which he faced 242 deliveries. Aftab Khan, who was also at the crease at the start of the final day’s play on 40, went on to complete his half century.
When play ended, Allied Bank were 98 for two with Wajahatullah Wasti not out on 45 and Aaley Haider unbeaten with 44.
