St. Leger winner banned

LAHORE, Dec 17: The entries of Pakistan St. Leger 2003 winner, bay filly Feel The Freedom has been banned from racing for two months and her trainer Amjad Ali II fined Rupees 35,000 for filly’s inconsistent performance.

After filly’s surprise victory in St. Leger 2003, on Dec 12 last, the Lahore Race Club (LRC) stewards took notice of the extra-ordinary performance of Feel The Freedom as compared to her running in the Gujrat Cup last month when she finished off the board.

The stewards also banned the participation of bay mare Storm Bird in races for two months for her inconsistent performance and fined trainer Amjad Ali II rupees 15,000 for the same.

Storm Bird had won the last race on Dec 12 in a great style but had finished third on Nov 30 last in the same class race.
