LANDI KOTAL, Dec 17: A man was killed in an explosion at the Tedee bazaar in Jamrud on Wednesday.
A time device was planted at the entrance of Masood Khan’s house. On Wednesday morning when he was coming out of his house the device went off with a big bang, killing him on the spot. His brother who was following him escaped unhurt.
Masood Khan was declared a proclaimed offender and wanted to the Peshawar police in a number of murder cases.
TRANSFORMERS SEIZED: The Jamrud political administration on Wednesday recovered 20 transformers from a godown during a raid at Wazir Dhand area in the Khyber Agency.
The assistant political agent of Jamrud while acting on a tip off raided Shabab godown at Wazir Dhand. The raiding party recovered one 200kv, six 100kv, eleven 50kv and two 25kv transformers from the godown.
The authorities, however, failed to make any arrest as the owner of the godown had fled the area before the raid.
The seized transformers were later shifted to the Jamrud tehsil offices.
