KARACHI, Dec 16: The Sindh Assembly when resumes its session on Wednesday, after a break of six days, will find the treasury benches depleted, as its bloc of over a dozen members is staying in Islamabad to seek a meeting with prime minister and other power brokers.
They include three ministers Altaf Hussain Unnar, Imtiaz Ahmad and Dr Saeeda Malik.
The MPAs bloc has been agitating against Chief Minister Ali Mahar and pressing for a change in the leadership. Despite categorical denial of any change in the government, this delegation left for Islamabad where PML chief had hosted a lunch for them.
It is learnt that some intermediary between the forward bloc of MPAs and the chief minister asked the group in Islamabad to rush back for assembly session. But, the group regretted and said that they would return after meeting the party chief and the prime minister.
