Megawati plants sapling

ISLAMABAD, Dec 15: Visiting Indonesian president Megawati Sukarnoputri on Monday planted a “Mangolia Grandiflora” sapling at Shakarparian.

Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat received the president when she arrived at the picturesque view-point that overlooks the entire capital. Education Minister Zobaida Jalal accompanied the president.

The interior minister presented a souvenir to Ms Sukarnoputri. She was also briefed on the masterplan of the capital. Later, she recorded her impression in the visitors’ book.

As per tradition, all the foreign dignitaries plant sapling at Shakarparian.

President Sukarnoputri and her members of entourage also visited the grand Faisal Mosque.— APP
