KARACHI, Dec 14: Pace bowler Ali Gohar and Bazid Khan set up PIA’s comfortable victory over KRL with sterling performances in the Patron’s Cup one-day Pool ‘A’ match at UBL Sports Complex on Sunday.

Bazid hammered seven fours and one six in his 132-ball 106 as PIA amassed 289 for five after being invited to bat first.

Mahmood Hamid also excelled with 70 off 85 balls, striking nine boundaries.

Then it was Ali Gohar’s turn to hog the limelight. He picked up six for 46 to restrict KRL to 251 in 48.4 overs. Ali Naqvi (74 off 78 balls, 11 fours) and Intikhab Alam (97 off 110 balls, three fours and as many sixes) were KRL’s chief scorers.
