KARACHI: 104 vehicles taken away in a week

KARACHI, Dec 14: Bandits either hijacked or stole 104 vehicles — 30 cars and 74 motorcycles — during the past one week in various parts of the city.

According to police, 16 cars were taken away at gunpoint by bandits and 14 others were stolen in Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Gulistan-i-Johar, Gulberg, Clifton, Jamshed Quarters, Saddar, etc.

Twenty-seven motorcycles were hijacked and 47 others stolen in Gulberg, New Karachi, Korangi, Landhi, Lyari, North Nazimabad, Nazimabad, Saddar, Gulshan-i-Iqbal and other areas.

Police also claimed to have recovered 24 stolen cars and 33 motorcycles during the past one week.
