KARACHI, Dec 12: Three men died in different traffic accidents on Friday.
Police said an NLC trailer hit a van on Hub River Road near Raees Goth. As a result, two of the occupants of the van identified as Mohammad Sadiq, 35, and Ghulam Qadir, 25, died on the spot. Two others — Abdul Ghani and Fakhr Yar — suffered serious injuries and were taken to a hospital.
Police seized the trailer and are investigating into the incident.
In another accident, a motorcyclist was hit by a vehicle in SITE. He died on the spot.
Police said Sualeh Mohammad, 35, was going somewhere on his motorbike when a Suzuki pick-up van hit him and sped away. Sualeh suffered serious head injuries and died on the spot. His body was sent to a hospital for autopsy.
BODY FOUND: A decomposed body was found at an empty plot in Orangi Town.
SHO Pakistan Bazaar police station, Haseebullah Qureshi, said that Nadeem Beg, a resident of Nazimabad, filed a complaint that his father, Shehzad Beg, had been missing for the past three months.
Shehzad lived in Orangi Town and often visited his son in Nazimabad. His son Nadeem got worried when his father did not turn up for the past three months. Nadeem went to see his father to Khairabad Goth in Orangi Town.
He knocked at the door and one Sohail opened the door and informed Nadeem that his father had sold the house.
Nadeem suspected Sohail and informed the police. After a thorough investigation, the police discovered the decomposed body of Shehzad from
an empty plot in the same vicinity.
The motive behind the killing is being investigated. The police said raids were being conducted to nab three other accomplices of Sohail, who was once arrested for keeping un-licensed weapon.
