Bandit killed

JACOBABAD, Dec 11: A bandit was killed and his accomplice arrested in an encounter in the jurisdiction of Panhwar Sanhri police station Jaferabad district on Thursday.

A police team was passing through the Munshi picket when the armed men opened fire on it. The police returned the fire as a result Mevo Kandrani was killed.

The police claimed Kandrani was involved in the killing of DIGP Aziz Bullo. His arrested accomplice was identified as Mohabat Jakhrani.

The police seized three motorcycles, two kalashinkove rifles and a large quantity of bullets.

Kandrani carried one million rupees as head money.
