KARACHI: Kidnappers held

KARACHI, Dec 11: A student, who had been kidnapped, after being released led the police and the Citizen Police Liaison Committee to arrest his captor on Thursday.

Adnan was kidnapped for ransom by one of his friends, Farrukh, near Secondary Board Office in North Nazimabad. He was later kept at a house in Khokhrapar, Malir. The family paid a ransom of Rs300,000 for his release.

Adnan informed CPLC Chief Murad Ali Soni about the incident, who informed the North Nazimabad TPO Sultan Khuwaja. The police and the CPLC conducted a joint raid at a house in Malir and arrested Farrukh, while his accomplice, Mohammad Mubeen, managed to escape.

Meanwhile, three alleged kidnappers were arrested by the police with the help of the CPLC.

According to the police, the Anti Violent Crime Cell (AVCC), with the help of CPLC, raided a place in New Karachi and arrested Mohammad Ali alias pilot, Mohammad Iqbal and Nadeem alias Chhota. They were allegedly involved in kidnapping a number of people for ransom.
