Man gets life term in drugs case

RAWALPINDI, Dec 9: A special court awarded life imprisonment to a man while a woman was sentenced to five-year rigorous imprisonment (RI) in a drugs case.

According to a press release issued by Anti-Narcotics Force regional directorate here on Tuesday, the judge, Sagheer Ahmed Qazi, handed down life imprisonment to Mohammad Anwar and sentenced his accomplice, Saima Bibi, to five-year RI for smuggling 27kg charas.

The court also imposed Rs100,000 and Rs20,000 fine on Anwar and Saima, respectively. The two convicts were arrested by the ANF police station, Attock.
